Servovalve model, flow, leakage
Much research has been devoted to developing a mathematical model for a servovalve. Some researchers have considered servovalves with ideal geometry; however, such a model lapses when the servovalve operates within the null region wherein experiments showed that the flow leakage predominates. The authors present a new model that includes the leakage flow to describe as well as possible the flow through a servovalve. Parameters of the model can easily be determined using the data provided by the manufacturer.
